KENDRA O'DONNELL
Kendra Stearns O'Donnell grew up in rural upstate New York, where she was an active member of 4H. She is a graduate of the Emma Willard School and holds a BA from Barnard College and a PhD from Columbia University. A tall and awkward girl, Kendra sought refuge in art; she began painting in her early teens, when she also began to play tennis and read obsessively. Kendra has painted all her life, although she has also had three children, taught at Princeton University, been an executive at the Markle Foundation and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, served as Principal of Phillips Exeter Academy for ten years, and been the devoted wife of Patrick O'Donnell for twenty six years. Kendra has exhibited here and there; this is her first major show. Kendra and Patrick live on an old farm outside of Concord, NH.
