Ralph Stone Jacobs has been living and painting in the mountains of Northern New Hampshire for twenty years, while still maintaining his national reputation. He is renowned for not only capturing the likeness of a sitter, but also their personality. While he prefers to meet the sitter, he has painted directly from a photo, or a number of photos.
