SHERI TOMEK
Sheri Tomek earned her Bachelor of Fine Art, Associate Degree, and Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax, Canada. She was awarded an Endowment Fund scholarship and a Centennial scholarship during this time. In 1991 she received an Elizabeth Greenshields Grant, allowing her to continue her studies. After spending five years working for the Swiss visual communications firm, Gottschalk+Ash International, in Montreal, Quebec, Sheri went on to complete her Master of Art at the University of Iowa, IA. She spent 2002 studying and monitoring at the Art Students League in New York City, NY. Sheri is currently a board member at Two Rivers Printmaking Studio, White River Junction, VT and has completed workshops in a variety of printmaking techniques.
Sheri has exhibited her work at Acadia University Gallery, Wolfville, Nova Scotia, the Art Students League, New York, NY, the Confederate Center, Charlottetown, PEI, the Duke of Argyle Gallery, Halifax, Nova Scotia, the Inn Gallery, Kentville Nova Scotia, and Kensington Paperworks, Calgary, Alberta. She has participated in numerous group shows in a variety of locations with members of Two Rivers Printmaking Studio including the AVA Gallery, Lebanon, NH, Bridgewater Mill Gallery, Bridgewater, VT, The Flynn Dog Gallery, Burlington, VT, Franklin Pierce Law Center, Concord, NH, Ledyard Gallery in the Howe Library, Hanover, NH, and the Shelburne Art Gallery, Burlington, VT.
